It is close to the quiet, scenic lanes and picturesque villages of the Waveney valley, including the interesting "Saints" villages and St Peters real ale brewery.. It is also alongside the start of the climb of Dove Hill (Station Road), well known amongst local club cyclists and used for hill climb events Four miles away is the historic market town of bungay, with its castle and nearby Mettingham castle.
